R&I Days: photos and videos available online

In September, the "European Research & Innovation Days" took place in Brussels to discuss the future research and innovation policy. For everybody who was not able to participate or who wants to see special sessions again, the European Commission provides photos and videos online. As part of this, the video recording of the session "European Partnerships: Impact for Society" is available, containing a discussion on the new generation of European Partnerships.

ERA-LEARN training workshop on implementing ERA-NET Cofund

Close to 70 persons participated in the ERA-LEARN workshop "Implementing ERA-NET Cofund", which took place in Berlin on 7 and 8 October 2019. The participants came from all over Europe, representing more than 20 funding agencies and a large number of ERA-NET Cofunds as well as other networks. This workshop is an annual event, organised by ERA-LEARN. All presentations from the workshop are available on our website.

ERA-LEARN survey on inclusiveness reveals position of Widening Countries in P2Ps

The definition of Widening Countries situates them among less performing member states, i.e. those that do not reach the threshold of research excellence, which is set at 70% of EU28 performance. ERA-LEARN conducted a survey on Inclusiveness to collect information on measures introduced by H2020 ERA-NET Cofund and EJP programmes in order to enhance participation of less performing countries. The report will be available soon.

Taskforce key indicators for JPIs

In January 2017, the Chairs of the decision making bodies from the 10 JPIs established a Task Force on Monitoring and Evaluation with the aim to define a framework of common dimensions and indicators relevant and applicable for all the JPIs. A key reason for this was a growing awareness of a need for harmonisation of the emerging monitoring and evaluation efforts and the wish to better cover the various dimensions of JPIs and their implementation efforts.

Evaluation of joint calls - finding evaluators:
Finding suitable experts for the joint calls is a challenging task. Research funders participating in P2P initiatives have the possibility to request access to the EC database of experts for research activities and can use this pool of more than 90.000 qualified experts for evaluations. ERA-LEARN provides guidelines how to write a letter to request access to the database.
