Monitoring and Evaluation Basics
A Logic Frame outlines the connection between the ends and means of an intervention. The Logic Frame shows in a linear way how we think our objectives can be pursued by specific activities and their consequent outputs, outcomes and impacts.
Constructing the Logic Frame means identifying and clearly articulating the following elements and understanding how they are connected.
The Logic Frame is NOT the intervention logic. The intervention logic comprises all the inherent assumptions we make in our thinking about how the targeted challenge will be addressed, how the activities are planned with the certain inputs and how their expected results will contribute to achieving the objectives set. These assumptions need to be clearly spelled out and agreed.
