Evaluation

The choice of appropriate procedures may depend on the individual setting, e.g. expected number of proposals. In any case the overall target of the evaluation should be the selection and funding of the best proposals through transparent systems that are convenient for funding organisations and applicants. A reliable commitment of the participating organisations to the agreed evaluation procedures is essential for the successful call implementation.

In particular the following aspects need to be covered when planning the evaluation:

• Evaluation procedures including eligibility checks
• Evaluation criteria and scores
• Finding and assigning evaluators 
• Necessary communication/meetings
• Agreement on how to distribute EC co-funding
• Compiling and endorsing evaluation results
• Communication of results to applicants
